Postcolonial Hierarchies

Teaching & Curricula

The research results and expertise of the network are made available for education at universities and beyond. Scholars of the network, visiting scholars, associated colleagues from partner institutions, as well as practitioners in the field of peace and conflict, contribute to the conceptualization and/or implementation of teaching-related materials and events.

These are some of the currently available resources for teaching and curriculum development:

  • PUBLICATIONS: Check out the publications of the network to expand your curriculum by engaging with postcolonial and decolonial perspectives in the field of peace and conflict.
  • VIDEO MATERIAL: Become acquainted with the video material generated within the Postcolonial Hierarchies network and use these audiovisual sources for teaching.
  • VIRTUAL ENCYCLOPEDIA: Explore the virtual enyclopedia (ONLINE NOW!) to enrich your curriculum and teaching sessions by incorporating key concepts, theoretical debates, and empirical work on (de)coloniality and postcolonial studies with a focus on peace and conflict.

Transfer activities in teaching are also possible in digital formats, as well as in different locations. Contributions to political education or teacher’s trainings can be implemented together with institutions working on these fields.

The Network members are actively engaged in teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate levels at their respective institutions and also internationally, advancing research-informed teaching on the prominent topics of postcolonial hierarchies in peace and conflict.
